A maniacal knitter, I lived in London all my life until about 15 years ago when I met my husband, a naval officer, while I was on holiday in Turkey and I've never looked back since. We still live in this richly cultural, beautiful country with our two children. There is so much traditional arts and crafts here, especially by women, that I barely know where to start adapting them to my addiction-turned-business ~ Knitting!
About The Knit Box
The Knit Box contains accessories and textiles which are uniquely designed or carefully selected from traditional crafts found in Anatolia, Turkey.
It is yet only a duckling, but The Knit Box will bring much more as time goes by. It is important for me that everything here should be By Women For Women!
From very simple, modern yet lovingly handmade pieces to more intricate and painstakingly handcrafted heirloom items ~ everything you find inside the Box aims to bring together the nimble and talented fingers of creative women young and old.
All products are lovingly and thoughtfully handmade by talented, self-taught artisans who are simply keeping alive centuries-old ethnic crafts. Fair trade applies, of course.
To help all of this reach as many hearts as possible I have done my utmost to keep prices affordable and shipping costs one of the lowest you can find.
