A completely new, freshly designed range of accessories has been successfully launched this year. Products have been designed by KB Knitting and brought to life by the local artisan women of Golcuk, Turkey. A town which was completely devastated a decade ago by an earthquake is rebuilding itself as a centre for art & culture and KB's mission is to help these local women turn their art into viable products.
KB Ebru Needles

Turkish wood needles hand-painted by Ebru Master Zeyneb Orhan using a unique centuries-old formula of marbling (Ebru) using Turkish root dyes.
New ranges are made available in small quantities due to the art work involved and subsequently sell out quickly.
Three Colourways: Blue/natural, Pink/green & Lilac/woodtone. Traditional length of 40cm. (For our new shorter 34cm lengths see below)

Oya Needle Lace
Thought to be the very first form of crochet, these are individual flowers made by the centuries-old traditional and unique tiny needle method of creating lace. The Knit Box is proud to be the sole seller of authentic oya made by local craftswomen since 2006. We have enabled these women to earn a fair living wage.
Simply slide off the yarn and use to embellish anything you wish.
